Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, 5- 7 p.m., Patriots’ Park. This annual holiday celebration features artificial snow play area, ice carving demonstration, children’s activities, holiday music, and food trucks. And most importantly, a visit from Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.

Dec. 3: Holiday Shopping trip to Concord, NC, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., meet at and return to Marion Street Station. Hate the hustle and bustle of Charlotte traffic? Let Outdoor Recreation take care of that for you! Join us for a shopping trip to Concord Mills in Concord, NC to get your holiday shopping done! Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride and then shop ‘til you drop. For $20 ODR will drive you there and then back so you can enjoy your shopping without the hassle of driving!

Locked in the Library Escape Room! Solve puzzles using logic and teamwork to escape the library.  Groups or families can reserve the Library’s Escape Room for an hour and a half time slot.  Work through the presented puzzles and challenges to escape the programming room at the library.  To make your reservation visit the Thomas Lee Hall (Post) Library or call 803-751-5589.

Dec. 6: Biltmore Trip, Asheville, NC, 6:45 a.m.-6 p.m., meet at and return to Marion Street Station. Join Outdoor Recreation on a trip to visit the beautiful and historic Biltmore Estates in Asheville, NC while all decorated for the Holiday Season! You will be treated to an audio guided tour of the Biltmore Mansion as long with the opportunity to visit the rest of the estate which includes a winery, shopping, and gardens. If you have always wanted to go now is your chance!
