Where is the Library?
The Library is located in Bldg 4679 on the corner of Liberty Div. Rd and Strom Thurmond Blvd. For additional directions or information, you may phone the Library at +1 (803)751-5589.
What are the Library Hours?
The Library is open 11 a.m. - 7 p.m., Monday – Thursday and 12 - 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday. The library is closed on Sundays, federal holidays, and federal holiday weekends.
Who may borrow Library Materials?
Full borrowing privileges are available for the following groups and their immediate family members: Active duty military personnel assigned to Fort Jackson, members of the Reserve and National Guard, retired military personnel, veterans, and Fort Jackson civilian employees. (A valid military identification card must be presented.)Limited borrowing privileges are available for transient and temporary duty personnel.
How long can I check out materials?
All materials loan for 21 days and can be granted two renewals as long as the item is not on hold for another patron.
Who may use the Library's computer lab?
In order to use the computer lab visitors must present a current military identification card and sign in at the Library’s Front Desk. Computer users must be at least 13 years old unless a parent or sponsor has already created a computer account for the child. There is a 30 minute time limit when others are waiting. (Note: the Computer Lab closes 15 minutes prior to the closing of the library.)
Can I leave my children alone at the library; can I drop them off and pick them up later?
Children without ID must be accompanied by their parent or sponsor at all times.
Does the Library provide a FAX service to the public?
No, but on post FAX services are available in the customer service area in the Main PX.
